Chocolate Chip Tea Cookies

Think of these cookies as little pieces of heaven, because they are light and fluffy and filled with delicious chocolate chips! I froze some of these at Christmas time, I think I'm going to go unfreeze them so I can enjoy them tonight with the hubby!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
½ lb. (2 sticks) butter
½ cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups mini chocolate chips, divided

Directions
Preheat oven to 350.

Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add the vanilla and mix well. Gradually add flour and then stir in 1 cup of the mini chocolate chips.

Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Remove to wire rack to cool.

Place 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips in a sealed plastic bag and microwave until melted; about 30 seconds(or more depending on your microwave). Snip off a TINY corner of the bag and drizzle chocolate on top of cold cookies.

Chill for 5 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store at room temperature.
